Its the most meaningless competition ever which is all about squeezing some money out of people for poor teams that aren't good enough to qualify or stay in proper european competition.
I suppose when you are that desperate to win something or see your team abroad then you are happy with anything. For me the competition has no status.
Lets face it winning this is now our only chance of qualifying for Europe properly again and that will be pointless if we are relegated and have to sell and loan out anyone decent to meet FFP.
Being realistic I can't see us staying in it anyway the minute we play a team that isn't league one standard.
Staying up has to be the priority as the impact of being stuck with high earning and low value players we have seemingly overpaid for and still owe millions for in the Championship would be crippling.

This should be the number one priority for the season along with staying up. We aren’t qualifying for Europe again by any other means and it’s likely going to be easier to win than the FA Cup. The style of play might suit the likes of Paqueta a bit more as well.
I want some fucking silverware and a European trophy is a European trophy.

The less games the better for our flimsy squad.
PL Survival has to be our priority. No discussion.
Throw the stiffs out in the FA Cup and rotate accordingly for Europa depending on the opposition. Currently we dont look like winning another game all season, but hopefully we can find some form from somewhere, get a result or two inthe next run of games and be looking a little more secure by the time we get to the later stages of the Europa

Jeez , European Silverware (this is here too stay will become a bigger trophy over time and gets us in Eufa again next year) we have won nothing in 43 years I was 9 FFS and I don't count intertoto etc . The squad is big enough to cope and can play its way back too form , we need more games too gel not less . Europe is not our failure in the Prem we have been even worse after the world cup break .
